Written by Freelancing Writer and Editor : Olayinka Sodiq

Mindfulness and Money

For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted and became fascinated with money, studying how people attract money and what they do to keep it, the most valuable lessons I have learned about building financial prosperity and wealth didn’t come from courses in economic theory Neither did they come from the Wall Street Journal.

Instead, this wealth attracting concepts derived from the world of positive psychology, which is deeply rooted in mindfulness thinking.
I’m not super rich neither do I pretend to be a financial expert with my little experience and study of wealth over the past few years.

This article is to impart what I have learned to you. Here are my seven simple steps to attract wealth to your life.

7 Steps to Attract Wealth

Believe you are worthy of happiness

None of these steps can are useful until you believe you are worthy of happiness. I did not say you are entitled the most important and operative word is WORTHY. Your self-view is important. To make this a reality letting go of guilt and shame associated with the past is equally important.

Focus on what you have right now

The unproductive line of thinking starts the downward spiral of negativity, which repels against positive forces of happiness, many people fall into the trap of destruction over what they don’t have or what they may have lost.

Instead, focus on all that you have through the gift of gratitude, all we have is this moment in time, yesterday is gone so focus on the right now of your life and learn from mindfulness teachers.

End the cycle of learned helplessness

Wealth or other positive things cannot be attracted into your life when negativity such as I can’t fill your emotional space; you need to end the excuses of what you cannot do and begin to use positive words as I can. Positive words like I can have tendencies to attract wealth because being worthy of happiness is a state of mind.

Purge jealousies

Jealousy is clear negative energy; being jealous of another person’s possessions fills your mind with illusions. Someone driving an expensive car or wearing expensive clothes does not necessarily mean they the are wealthy. Jealousy projects false narratives that always turn out to be a lie. Make room for joy in your mind and always embrace simple things and be filled with peace.

Respect the power of money

Respecting money means keeping it organized, the moment you disrespect money, you disrespect yourself, recognizing that money holds both restorative and destructive. Money has the power to grow and take care of you for many years to come when managed properly. When disrespected, it impacts your life and future negatively.

Study wealth

Attracting wealth into your life requires going beyond wishful thinking; it means choosing to learn all you can talk about money and how to acquire wealth. Examine the practices, beliefs, and habits of enlightened people who have created and attracted wealth, realize that people who have true wealth do not wear flashy jewelry, drive expensive cars or wear designer clothes, the majority of millionaires are budgeters who have created their wealth over time.

Give money away

When we give money to those who are less fortunate, we are helping to replenish the human spirit. Hoarding money will make money leave you. Instead, use your abilities to determine who is in need and think of how you might help them.
